Hi! I'm January Jimenez, but little dragons call me "Coach JJ". I'm a mom to a spunky boy with a background in hospitality, specializing in pool operations, resort recreation programs, and kids' clubs.
When our son was just 18 months old, my husband and I put him in survival swim lessons. I was truly inspired by the curriculum and its focus on water safety and confidence. So impressed that I decided to learn the methodology myself and have now been coaching since 2023.
I continue to work in the hospitality industry from home while homeschooling my son and volunteering with Menifee Valley Little League. Water safety has since become a personal passion, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with your family.

18 months – 6 years old
Swim lessons to teach your child lifesaving water skills, such as how to swim short distances and safely make their way to the nearest wall, edge or steps of the pool. This is a 10 day commitment. Classes run Monday through Friday for two consecutive weeks for optimal results. Daily repetition is what makes the method work.
Classes emphasize true water safety, teaching children how to swim breathlessly and safely reach the nearest wall, edge or steps.
It's completely normal for this approach to feel a little uncomfortable at first, for both swimmers and parents. I'll guide your child through each step with consistency, repetition and positive reinforcement.
By the end of 10 days, you will be amazed by your child's confidence and independence in the water.
Classes take place in a warm 90º degree pool to support focus and learning.
Allow 30 minutes at the pool per swimmer. Actual water time is determined by me to suit each child's individual needs.
2–3 kids per session. Lessons run 10 days (Mon–Fri, 2 weeks) for fast, effective results.
Be prepared to get in the water on the last day. You will take over lessons at that point. A pivotal moment for both you and child!
Bring your child ready to swim, with sunscreen already applied, and a towel. That's it!
No goggles or swim shoes.
If child is wearing a rash guard, please ensure it is tight fitting. Loose clothing will make learning more challenging.
Please have your child use the restroom before class. *If not fully potty trained, please use a swim diaper. Restroom is not available on site.
If you live in the Audie Murphy Ranch community and are interested in hosting swim lessons at your home pool, please contact me. If your pool meets the criteria, you will receive complimentary swim lessons for one child.
This is a wonderful way to bring the community together around water safety while giving your child and your neighbors' children the gift of swim confidence.

Like our Sea Dragons, Bearded Dragons are Calm, Confident and remarkably Brave! Just the qualities I love to develop in each student.
Did You Know? Real bearded dragons can actually swim! They inflate their bodies like a balloon to float, then paddle with their legs.
Andarna's Favorite Skill Spotting the ripples! Bearded Dragons can only see water when it's moving! They follow the waves. Just like our Sea Dragons, who learn to always know where the closest wall is, how to reach it and follow it to safety.
